And the writing prompt for May is…

Get your (figurative) pens ready! Here is this month’s writing prompt:

may 2017 prompt

After the dark and dramatic prompt for March, we’re taking a more sentimental tone this month. We can’t wait to get started and see how each one of us will take on this prompt!

Also, you might have noticed that we’re slowing down the prompts from monthly to bi-monthly.

Maybe it was too ambitious of us to to attempt to write a monthly short story right from the start, given that we all hold demanding day jobs and are each working on our manuscripts on top of simultaneously juggling a bunch of other life stuff. So in order not to burn out too soon, we’ve all decided to take the pace down a notch. The last thing we want to do is publish slipshod stories for sake of keeping up with schedule. Besides, we’ve got enough deadlines at work, and we don’t want this blog to feel like another thing to check off the to-do list!

This writing journey is a marathon, not a sprint. So we are pacing ourselves, regulating our breathing, taking one step forward at a time, because

a little progress every day

Thank you, dear readers. For reading our stories, for your kind words of encouragement, for your feedback, and for being part of this community.

We would love to hear from you, too! If you have a second or two, we’d appreciate if you could vote in this poll:
