#MusicMonday – Feel-Good Jams

Music Mondays_Feel-Good Jams (1)

On Music Mondays, we’ll each share one song that speaks to us or represents our work. It could be part of a playlist for our WiP, or just a song that’s been on replay lately. Feel free to share your recommendations and check out ours!

JOYCE:

Pop punk lives forever!

This song has that chorus you can’t resist belting out. It was the soundtrack to my teenage years. Just the opening takes me back to my high school days (stop trying to calculate my age), and I guess it’s true what they say about looking back on the past with rose-tinted glasses. All I remember about that time was being (relatively) carefree and revelling in the golden age of pop punk. And this song is one of the many that brings back memories.

NICOLE:

The moment I heard this song as the release track to Mass Effect: Andromeda, I’ve been listening to it on repeat. It just pumps me up so much. It has a great beat, awesome bass, the singer’s voice is fantastic and it just…yeah, I just get so amped up listening to this (probably because I associate it with the aliens I’m killing while I’m out exploring the galaxy, which is my main addiction right now, but I have a feeling I’ll still be jamming to this song long after I beat the game that got in on my radar).

MEREDITH:

I just discovered this singer, and I’ve fallen in love with her voice. This song also has a breezy, laid-back summertime feel to it, so I’ve had it on repeat lately. (Side note: is it summer yet?)

Like any of our choices? What songs do you to help pump yourself up or make yourself feel good? Let us know in the comments below and, as always, happy listening!
